Thursday, May 08, 2003  Damn, this is hard  If you want to see just how well-informed or ignorant you are of the Middle Eastern, South Asian, and North African parts of the world that have been so much in the news in the past few years, take this test. I did very well on the countries that are popular for Biblical archaeology (big surprise), and I got Morocco because of Casablanca and Algeria because of Algiers, and Turkey because I don't like it and Armenia and Cyprus because they're right next to Turkey, but other than that, um, I didn't do so well. I had another of my temporary-dyslexia things, getting Iran and Iraq mixed up; and all those -istans were pretty darn hard.
